Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for her pioneering modern research of children's memory as eyewitnesses and the use of child victims in court contexts. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has offered consulting on research and policy to numerous agencies and government departments from all over the world. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was a founder member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was director of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division of the American Psychological Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
